Memorial Day

Memorial Day, to me, means the start of summer.  The weather was beautiful in Beaver.  We spent a couple of hours at the cemetery remembering our loved ones that have passed away and reconnecting with friends and family we haven't seen in a few years.
I think it is very quaint and a lot patriotic to see flags on everyone's front lawn in our little town.

Wes knew brother Murdock from his Jacksonville, FL days (Another bit of proof that Beaver, UT is the center of the universe!).  One of his good friends from high school is the grandson of Brother Murdock.  Brother Murdock was born in Beaver and when he died he was buried in Beaver.  His wife still lives in Jacksonville.  My mother-in-law keeps in touch with her regularly.  His grave is actually just a row over from where my grandfather White is buried.
