D is for....

D is for Dieter (pronounced Deeter)...Dieter Vincent Opp.  That is what we are naming him (to most of our family's dismay...they'll come around to the name eventually!).  We really love the name and already he seems like a Dieter to me!  Some of my cute neices and nephews made this D for him.  I love it.  I've already put in on a shelf in his room!
While we were in Beaver my mom threw us a little baby shower party.  We had our family and close friends from town there.  It was great to catch up with everyone.  We were spoiled with gifts.  Everyone was so, so generous to us.
My mom and older sister had a fun time picking up cute decorations and party favors for the party.
My sisters found some pretty funny t-shirts for little D to wear.  Amy found this onesie that says "Does this shirt make me look German?"  I seriously can't wait for him to wear it.  I think my co-workers will like it.  They think it is funny that we are naming him a German name.
Tiffany found this t-shirt.  It comes in a little bag that that doesn't give away the writing that is on the shirt.  The bag just says that Mysterio will predict your child's future career.  I opened that bag and Dieter is destined to be a Fortune Cookie Writer!  I love it.  I think it is the cutest idea for a baby shower gift.  I've got to find them to give away.

My aunt and uncle own a quilting business.  My uncle made this quilt for us.  I love it.

Like I said, we were spoiled.  Thank you to everyone that came to our party.  We loved all the gifts and we love you!!

Jen I have too much to say on this post! First off, I love that quilt too much. It is so cool! I love the fabrics and colors and style. Secondly, how fun to have a hometown shower. It looks so fun! Thirdly, I love the name. I immediately think of Elder Uchdorf whom I love so much. He is the most awesome person ever! Not that you said that you were naming your babe after him, but I can't help but make the association. How nice for him to have a special, unique, awesome name! I am just so excited for you! How are you feeling these days?

I love the name! Dieter Vincent...so darling. It'll be cute when he's little and yet grow with him. I like names that work well in their youth and adulthood. Still so excited for you. Your picture at mono lake at 6.5 weeks along...you look great!
