book 18 of 25
I started this book a couple of days before Dieter was born. It was a really quick read. I basically finished it while Dieter was under the lights. I was trying to keep my mind occupied. And wouldn't you know it, the chapter I was reading while he was in the hospital was all about parenting. "What Makes a Perfect Parent" was the title of the chapter to be exact. According to the book, if there are a lot of books in the home (whether you read them or not), the child will grow up to be more successful than those that don't have a lot of books in the home. Wes and I are on our way to being perfect parents! The book takes questions that economists don't usually analyze and puts an answer to them. Such as "if drug dealers make so much money, why do they still live with their moms?" If nothing else, this book is entertaining and a little thought provoking.
