book 7 of 25

Horrible book.  Would not recommend anyone to waste their time with this book.  I'm very sorry that I wasted mine.  The only reason I did end up reading the whole thing is so I could write how horrible it was to read.  I'm not sure how so many people loved it (and sorry if I'm offending you if you are one who loved it).  I'll sum it up.  Women gets a divorce because she just doesn't want to be married anymore.  Finds a lover/boyfriend while the divorce is pending.  Has a rocky relationship with him.  Decides to go on a year journey (probably paid for by this book deal) to find herself, promising to be celibate for the year.  She writes in a 'woe is me' sort of attitude and I just can't feel bad for her.  Who else gets to run away from their problems for a year?  The Eat part of the book takes place in Italy.  I honestly think she indulges in eating and making it her passion to help her not think about having sex-but it doesn't quite work.  She thinks about it all the time.  The Pray part of the book is in India where her prayers are completely self-indulgent.  "Me, me, me".  "Why, why, why". "Give me, give me, give me".  Never once does she say 'thank you' to the supreme being she is praying to.  The Love part is in Indonesia. I suppose she found love but only after she gave into her desires and gave up the celibate act.  Did she really find love, or did love just happen to find her?  Horrible book.  Now onto something better.
