Book 4 of 25

I just finished John Adams by David McCollough.  This book has been on my "to read" list for years.  Last year (or maybe the year before) I read a book about his wife, Abigail entitled My Dearest Friend.  Many of the things in this book were a repeat from what I learned in the Abigail Adams book.  However, David McCollough is a masterful writer  and I would choose this book over the other any day.  John Adams was always writing (letters or journaling).  Much of what we know about the foundation of America is through his words and through the writings of Thomas Jefferson.  I was fascinated by the American politics in this book.  Not much has changed over the years.  As they say, politics is politics.
