Cannery Row by John Steinbeck is a great read! It was our book club's book this month and we just got together last night to discuss it. It is a book of stories without an overreaching plot, yet it works as a whole. The book reminded me of living in a small town, where you know everybody. Not that just that you know everybody, you know their stories and their backgrounds and why the react they way they do. This book has poetry and imagery that beautifully describes the north coast of California. Most everyone in the book club liked it and would recommend it to a friend.
