The Circus!!!

I had never been to a circus before (the results of growing up in Beaver, UT).  Moscow and St. Petersburg both have permanent circuses.  The above building is the St. Petersburg Circus.  The 2nd week we were in Russia, it was a Fall Holiday, so the children had school off.  This was lucky for us because it gave us more options for seeing the circus.  Usually they only run on Saturday and Sunday nights.  Because of the holiday we were able to go on a Tuesday evening.
The circus started out with goats doing pretty cool tricks.
Then the goats got away (as did the lady trainers dress!) and started to go into the crowd!
Then they dressed the goat up as a bride and the MC was the groom.  That's how he entered the circus.
The seal doing a marichi dance.
 Amazing acrobatics
 The monkey doing a flip
I really wanted to find an outfit like the trainer was wearing.  I think it would be a perfect Christmas gift for Wes!
 The kangaroo boxing fight
Look how incredibly close the audience is to the bear...and yet it doesn't seem to phase them.

By the end, I must say, I was feeling bad for the animals.  They look a bit sad and totally out of their element.
The Russians love their circus!
