Oh how I wish technology would somehow allow you to sample this chocolate goodness simply by looking at the picture!Background: 7 years ago while Wes and I were gallivanting through Europe, we came across the best milk chocolate bar. Ever. The Ion. It is the Greek's version of the Hershey bar (only so much better than a Hershey Bar...no offense to Hershey). They are found everywhere in Greece and pretty cheap too. On our last day in Greece. We went to a grocery store and bought all the Ion bars they had on their shelf...about 12 or so and the clerk looked at me like I was a complete lunatic!
Fast Forward: We love Greek food and secretly go to authentic Greek restaurants to see if they sell wares from Greece (a.k.a who cares about your delicious Gyros, I want 12 Ion bars, please!). To no avail have we been able to find them. This week Wes has been in L.A for work and he stopped by an authentic Greek restaurant, run by an authentic 4 foot, nothing Grecian, Papa Cristo. He found them and brought one home for me! That's love!
Today, I am going to indulge as soon as it is an acceptable hour to eat chocolate. Is 8am too early!?
