We drove to Monterey, CA on Friday night for a fun little get away. On Saturday we made our way to the Monterey Aquarium as the doors were opening to the public. This is a such a great place! I could have spent hours here.

In the photo above, Wes is watching the fish swim in a circular motion. The tank was over head and encompassed the entire room.

Onto the jellyfish. Strangely enough, this was my favorite part of the aquarium (and I took way too many pictures). I love how beautiful they are in the blue light. I was so mesmorized as I watched them move around the tank. It looked like a choregraphed movement of effortlessness. Spectacular!

Holy Mackerel! Yup, I'm sure the aquarium staff hasn't heard that pun before. Me and the countless Mackerel fishies.

The fun job of cleaning the tanks.

I love all the colors.

Gorgeous plant life. I wish I could have this above water...in my front yard.
