100 degrees

It has been that hot here in Sacto the past couple of days. The heat killed my newly planted parsley and basil :(. On Saturday Wes took the scouts on a kayaking outing. I was their chauffeur. I ended up waiting by the river; dipped my toes in the 55 degree water, talked with a drunken homeless man, watched the duckies, and took pictures of some kids on a rope swing. All the while I got a nice bit of sun (since I don't tan so well, I'll be white again in a few more days).
