A delightful treat

Oatmeal-Chocolate Chip Bars

1 1/2 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
1 Cup Butter or Margarine, softened
2 TBSP molasses (I used pure maple syrup and it was delicious)
2 Tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
3 Cups Quick-Cooking Oats
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 Tsp Salt
2 Cups Chocolate Chips

1. Hat oven to 350. Grease 15x10x1 inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, scraping bowl occasionally. Beat in molasses, vanilla and eggs until blended.
2. With spoon stir in oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread in pan.
3. Bake approx. 20 minutes or until light golden brown and center is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Cut and enjoy!

Sounds delicious. I am such a baker these days. It will be a miracle if I don't gain ten pounds by Christmas! You and Wes are so active and adventurous! I love it.
