a rough day
Dieter had a check up today which included getting 4 vacinations. It was sad for both of us. I've never heard him cry like that before. When he was first born we noticed he had tongue tie. The doctor's at UC Davis (where he was born) were very hesitant to do anything with it because he was eating well and gaining weight. Due to an insurance switch he is now at Kaiser for medical check ups. The doctor took one look at the tongue tie and made us an appointment with their nose, ear and throat specialists to get it clipped. So, right after the shots he got his tongue clipped. That was more heart wrenching for me than the shots and I wasn't even allowed in the room where they clipped it. I was down the hallway, but heard it the second it happened. So, so sad. Once I fed him he actually was a real trooper. He loved having the use of his tongue and now sticks it out whenever he has the chance.
