Lucky me, I got to go to the north coast two weekends in a row. However, it is such a long drive. To get to the above location it is about 1 1/2 hours from the main freeway and the main freeway is about 5 1/2 hours from home. But the scenery is inspiring. I drove with Wes and Bill (from our ward), camped out over night (in my car), watched them hike away on their 3 day journey down the Lost Coast, and then drive the 7 hour ride home.

On their last day, they found bear tracks in the sand.
