Every morning I pull back the curtains from sliding glass door that separates our inside home to our outside world to take in the greenery that northern California provides. For some reason when I pull back the curtains on a weekend morning, it seems so much more magical. I suppose it is because I know I get to spend more time out there than usual. It makes me happy. I hope to some day have our entire back yard as beautiful as our patio...one of these days!

Wes and I usually spend time walking about our yard looking over the {many} trees and vegetation that we've planted. Our latest plant is our Passion Fruit vine. Their blossoms are completely unique and only open up from late morning to early evening. We've been intrigued by this beautifully, unique flower. So far, we have one Passion Fruit growing with many blossoms taking over the tree.

This Saturday we tended to the garden. How come weeds can grow better than some of our plants?! I spent some time picking peas and eating the peas as I picked them. I just love peas fresh from the pod, straight from the garden.

I also spent time admiring the pea vines. I just love the little wispy curly cues this plant makes.

After a long day of working and playing and relaxing, Wes bbq-ed for us. And I made homemade buns. They turned out really good. I don't know if I can go back to the store bought kind now. The recipe is super easy. I found it
here.
