December, where did you go?

December is always a month I look forward to. I always try to get everything accomplished early enough to enjoy the entire season of Christmas. It never works out that way. I had a few Fridays off of work and I put them to good use by baking and going to the temple and putting up christmas lights and shopping and raking the yard and on and on and on.

I put the lights up around the house this year. The next door neighbor boy, Ethan, asked "Shouldn't Wes be doing that?" as I was climbing up and down the ladder. My reply, "He probably should, but if I waited for him to do it, we would be waiting probably until next Christmas".

I forgot my setting was on black and white, but I like the simpleness of this photo.I love when the leaves change color. I forget that Sacramento is not on the typical schedule for leaves changing color. These raspberry leaves were a lovely Christmas color right outside my kitchen window.
