I remember sitting in my 8th grade science class and learning about "The Universal Solvent We Know as Water...H2O". The term "universal solvent" stuck with me. This weekend we went to Donner's Lake and did a little hike. We came across a few bodies of water besides Donner's Lake. I'm always attracted to the water and its majesty. The term "universal solvent" came to mind. It made me realize how much I rely on water and sometimes take it for granted even with the very simpliest of things such as rinsing off my hands when the get sticky...the universal solvent takes care of that. Or what about when I wake up with crazy hair...nothing a little universal solvent won't fix. I guess I had a moment of gratitude while walking around in our beautiful nature. It makes me remember how much God loves all of us and how he is in the details of our lives.

We didn't make if very far on our hike since there is still snow in the mountains. Good thing it was on the chilly side, otherwise I may have had to break the rules and go for a swim. The water is just too inviting!
