I am kind of proud of myself. I've never made a cake from scratch before and I certainly have never decorated a cake. Yesterday I made a carrot cake from scratch for cooking group. I even added a few icing carrots so people would know what it was. I don't like to toot my own horn, but toot...toot. It turned out pretty good. The icing decorations could use some help, but for my first time it is okay. I still have some cake left over. I'm going to indulge in a mid morning snack!

My mouth is watering. Carrot cake is my favorite! I think the icing decorations are darling. I think this definitely deserves the tooting of your own horn. Well done Jen!
