I read this for book club and loved it! It's a book by Molly Wizenberg of recipes interspersed with reflections of her life. One of the chapters is about a to-die-for macaroon. She spent a summer in the Bay area or just south of the Bay area and worked across the street from a Max's Deli. When I read Max's Deli I was so giddy, I may have peed my pants (just a little). Max's Deli has the most divine chocolate covered Macaroon. Wes and I happened to eat at Max's a few years ago with his parents. We were lucky enough to eye the macaroon in the dessert case. I've been looking for a comparable recipe ever since so I wouldn't have to drive to S.F just to get a macaroon. I made her macaroon recipe yesterday (picture below). Wes and I have almost eaten all of them. I think we may have the last two for dinner tonight!
P.S. The chocolate ganache is heavenly!
P.P.S. The author has a blog "Orangette". The link is on my sidebar

Oh my delicious! I must get the recipe! I love macaroons. Plus I just read an article in Cooking Light that explained the health benefits of both coconut and chocolate. Yeah for health benefits but even more so yeah for one of my favorite food combos!
So far I have made her Chana Masala and her Custard-filled corn bread. Both were excellent, but I must say that those Macaroons look AMAZING. Are you making those again for Cookies?
