Christmas Traditions...

Wes and I have a fun little Christmas tradition. It started the first Christmas as a married couple. We didn't have room in our tiny apartment to put a tree, so we decided we were going to purchase one really nice christmas decoration or ornament. We ended up buying a beautiful snow globe with the nativity scene inside. We loved the idea of buying one really nice christmas decoration per year and that translated to tree ornaments. So, our Christmas tree only has 5 ornaments on it. We are going to buy one ornament per year to put on our tree. Our tree is a little sparce, but the tradition is fun and in fifty years we will be able to count all wonderful years we have. We have fun looking for ornaments that remind us of our year. This year we bought our ornament in San Fransisco. Here is our list:
1st year-crystal snowflake
2nd year-decorative glass ball
3rd year-flamingo ornament (living the florida lifestyle)
4th year-stained glass butterfly from the corkscrew nature museum
5th year- silver reindeer

What a great idea! It is nice that each ornament will allways be so special. Even with so few decorations your tree is beautiful - I love the ribbon.

p.s. the next time you pass through TX we can have a painting party! I would love your help.
